TJ was drawn to architecture while working for a structural engineer as a teenager, and earned a degree in architecture at the University Idaho. He is passionate about design in a variety of mediums and scales, considering the aspect of design in all made objects – from small things like the graphic quality of drawings, to the task of placing buildings in the built and natural environment. He relishes the spiritual and technical overlap that architecture provides. A northwest native, he also enjoys sailing, sketching and hiking.
